A happy place to be
Made and Making is a vibrant and welcoming sewing and craft centre in Hassocks, just north of Brighton.
Founder and sewing guru Sarah Brangwyn is joined by a dream team of wonderful tutors who bring their own talents, passions and expertise to offer you an exciting selection of workshops.
The crafting space you’ve always dreamt of
No need to clear the kitchen table! Our light-filled studio was designed purely with sewing and craft in mind, and has all the equipment and space you need. You might even get to meet Queenie, our long-arm quilter!
We’re based within the glorious South Downs Heritage Centre, which also houses the Museum of Gardening, The Sussex Food Hall and The CUBE Art Gallery, and is part of an extensive garden centre. Plus (the best bit!) there’s plenty of parking – just pull up and stroll in.
We’re also a short walk from Hassocks train station and bus routes.
An incredible source of knowledge
We’ve spent years learning everything there is to know about sewing and craft, and it’s our pleasure to share those techniques with you. (And often to learn from you too.)
No question is too silly
All levels of experience are welcome at Made and Making, from I-can’t-sew beginners to lifelong crafters, as well as those rediscovering old skills.
A cuppa and a chat…
Everyone who walks through our door shares a love of craft and creativity. Your family may not want to talk about fabric, overlockers and crochet stitches, but we do! Come and join us.
