Christmas felt wreath
Ever done any needle felting before? It is an interesting technique that is used to create 2d or 3d work.
We will show you how to create stunning life like leaves using a special stabiliser. We can add detailing too to bring life to these leaves and then use them to create a fun, natural feeling festive wreath to decorate your home this Christmas. You can make as many leaves as you like which makes each wreath truly unique.
What will we cover?
You will use special stabiliser to needle felt onto, learning techniques to blend different colours of wool to make the leaves including adding details to the top and sides. The final touch is a few red berries to make the design pop. We will then show you the best way to attach to the premade 20cm wreath.
How will I be taught?
In our light and airy studio by our experienced tutor. And there is no such thing as a silly question!
Do I need any previous experience or skills?
This workshop is suitable for beginners or those who have some felting experience
Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?
All materials are provided so just turn up, learn and have fun.

Your felted Christmas wreath ready to hang up in your home.

Tutor
Suzy is an accomplished and experienced felt maker. She uses both wet and needle felting techniques to produce accessories, toys, jewellery and ornaments, and thoroughly enjoys sharing the possibilities that felt making has to offer. She is also a keen sewer, and produces her own jewellery designs. Suzy has been a schoolteacher since 1997, and has been a subject leader for craft, design and technology. She currently combines her long-standing interest in crafts with part-time teaching and a busy family life in Hassocks.
