What will we cover?
On this beginners’ crochet course you’ll get to grips with some of the main stitches, setting you off on your crochet journey.
We’ll break a basic pattern down into simple steps, and use it to create granny squares which can be made into blankets, cushions, coasters and more.
Learning these core skills will allow you to progress to some of our more creative crochet courses.
This workshop is led by Sarah.
How will I be taught?
You’ll be taught in our lovely studio by a friendly and experienced tutor, through demonstration and guidance as you work.
You’ll also be able to ask questions, making sure everything is clear and that you’re getting the best results you can.
Do I need any previous experience or skills?
No, this session is for absolute beginners to crochet.
Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?
All materials are supplied.

Tutor

Sarah Brangwyn
Owner of Made and Making, Sarah has been sewing all her life. Her passion is helping others to gain the same level of enjoyment from mastering these creative skills. She's known for her infectious enthusiasm, her endless knowledge and for her knack for explaining things clearly, leading to lots of 'aha!' moments. In a previous life, Sarah was a branch manager in an insurance firm. Taking redundancy in 2012 allowed her to follow her dream of creating a hub for sewing and craft. At Made and Making Sarah teaches sewing, crochet, needle felting and other craft courses. She's also one of the tutors for the children's workshops. When family life allows, Sarah loves nothing more than immersing herself in her own projects.
