Boho bag – online via Zoom

Charm square boho bag-1

This relaxed boho style bag is one of our new favourites. It’s a really lovely project for someone who enjoys sewing and wants to sew with support or someone who fancies taking your first steps into patchwork. Our online classes are fun and friendly (you can check our our reviews on Tripadvisor, Google or Facebook) and because we teach lots of face to face classes too we know where you might go wrong before you do.

Your finished bag is a great shoulder bag and can contain all you need without fitting in too much – I’m sure you know what I mean. Of course you could choose to shorten the straps and it would make a great project bag as its soft and squidgy as well as being roomy.

Please note that if you wish to watch live bookings should be made  7 days prior to ensure that we have enough time to post out your supplies. You may be required to cut out your fabrics from instructions ahead of the session.

£25.00

Date

Expired!

Time

7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

What will we cover?

During the class you’ll learn the basics of machine pieced patchwork and simple quilting techniques.

Don’t worry if you’ve never done an online class before – we have. The online sewing class will be hosted on Zoom to allow us chance to show you clearly all the steps you need and have multiple cameras working. Hosted from a well lit space with good cameras you will see all the detail you need, and of course get chance to ask all the questions you can think of.

How will I be taught?

This is an online class live class on ZOOM that will be recorded so you will be able to rewatch and catch up at a later date should you so wish. The recording will be available within 2 days of the event.

Do I need any previous experience or skills?

You will need to be able to confidently use your sewing machine but all techniques will be clearly shown and demonstrated and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?

You need:

  • 42 –  5″ squares
  • wadding approx 40″ square
  • lining fabric approx 40″ square
  • 20″ ribbon for closure

To make it easy  you can buy a whole kit from us including the featured Art Gallery range of patchwork fabrics (subject to availability). If you’ve already accumulated a fabric stash you can have fun curating your own range of squares or buy a something called a ‘charm pack’. A charm pack is a pack of 42 squares curated from a range for fabrics and most commonly available from fabric shops aimed at those that patchwork.

What will I take home with me?

Your own Boho Bag.

Refreshments

Drinks and biscuits will be available from your own kitchen – don’t forget to buy some!

Photography

During all of our workshops photographs are taken for promotional purposes only. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you would prefer not to be included.
