Children’s denim patchwork cushion

Children's denim patchwork cushion

The denim patchwork cushion really is a fun one with your child being able to pick and choose from our pile of  re-cycled denim pieces and create their own, individual design.

This workshop is a brilliant opportunity to introduce your child to a sewing machine. Sewing is a life skill and a wonderful skill to gift.

All you need to do is drop them off. We’ll give them a drink and a biscuit and have them waiting with a lovely cushion to take home.

Our tutor is DBS checked.

This session is open to 8 years and over.

What will we cover?

During the session we will explain how a sewing machine works, how to sew (with an emphasis on beginning, finishing and respecting your seam allowance). This is a great project for the beginner as there is lots of sewing involved! With this project we will use a wide variety and colour of denim blocks so you can make your cushion as individual as you like.

How will I be taught?

Your child will be taught in our lovely studio by a friendly and experienced childrens’ tutor, through demonstration and guidance as they work.

With the opportunity to ask questions throughout, your child will get the best experience they can whilst making sure everything is clear.

Do I need any previous experience or skills?

No previous experience needed, but participants must be 8 years or older.

Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?

All materials are provided for the cover but you will need to have your own cushion pad ready at home.

What will I take home with me?

When you pick your child up they will be holding their new denim patchwork cushion cover!

Drinks and biscuits will be available.

During all of our workshops photographs are taken for promotional purposes only. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you would prefer not to be included.
