Children's sewing workshop

This workshop is a brilliant opportunity to introduce your child to a sewing machine. Sewing is a life skill and a wonderful skill to gift.

Our travel set of cushion and eye mask are designed to give you comfort at home or away. Whether you are off on holiday or just having a sleepover why not have a little bit of extra comfort?

All you need to do is drop them off and we’ll give them a drink and a biscuit and have them waiting with their very own neck cushion and eye mask.

Our tutor is DBS checked.

This session is open to 8 years and over.

What will we cover?

You child will learn how to safely use a sewing machine and create their very own comfy travel cushion and eye mask.

How will I be taught?

Your child will be taught in our lovely studio by a friendly and experienced childrens’ tutor, through demonstration and guidance as they work.


With the opportunity to ask questions throughout, your child will get the best experience they can whilst making sure everything is clear.


Our tutor is DBS checked.

Do I need any previous experience or skills?

This workshop is open to 8 years and over and is the perfect opportunity for your child to be introduced to a sewing machine.

Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?

All materials are provided.

What will I take home with me?

Their very own handmade travel set of cushion and eye mask.


Drinks and biscuits will be available.

Barbara has loved her career as a dedicated Textiles teacher for over 40 years. Having started in Yorkshire schools she has witnessed many changes to the curriculum over the years, but she has always been passionate about developing and bringing out the creativity of the students she has taught. Now that she has retired she has more time for herself and can spend all day in her own work room whenever she wants, what could be better?
