Christmas Craft Day

hand crochet wreath with red ribbon

Our Christmas craft day is all about sitting back and letting yourself get crafty with some like minded folk. You literally can just sit back too because we are going to provide all the materials that you need. Above all this is about you just turning up, taking a seat and have a day of crafting fun. We’ll be doing decorations and wrapping techniques.. skills that you can use again and again every year.

Morning session 1

The day will start with us firstly making a bright and vibrant hand crocheted wreath. NO crochet experience needed. We’ll  make a Christmas wreath perfect for any protected front door (it won’t survive well in direct rain) but is great for hanging indoors too.  Made with a simple technique using  acrylic giant yarn and a wreath ring these will make a great gift.

Morning session 2

For our second session we will be looking at the art of Furoshiki, wrapping your presents with fabric. A very sustainable way of wrapping, the fabric can be reused time and time again or it can be repurposed into something else completely. We will show you how to wrap a selection of shapes

Lunch Break
Afternoon session 1

We’ll start the afternoon with a little bit of creative play and make a Christmas Pudding pom pom. Totally fun, there’s nothing else to say!

Afternoon session 2

To complete the day in this last session we’ll show you some great gift tag and origami gifting solutions. We’ll have an array of all things crafty and Christmas for you to use, (you’re very welcome to bring along any of your own bits and bobs for this bit if you wish). Before you get started  we will show you a variety of inspirations to get you on your way. Whatever your style of wrapping we’ll have something for you.. We will finish off the session, and the day, showing you how to make perfect gift boxes for homemade treats plus creative and original ways to wrap gift cards and those tricky ‘experience vouchers’.
