‘Tis the season to get paper-crafty! For those who want to learn more about how to use their Cricut machines to make 3 different types of greeting cards for the Christmas season, connect with fellow Cricut crafters, or learn a few special card making design techniques, this one’s for you!
* Please note that you don’t need your own Cricut machine to attend this workshop. *
- £70.00
- 24 Nov 2024
- Expired!
- 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
What will we cover?
You will learn how to use and cut pre-designed projects within Cricut Design Space, to work with paper and cardstock materials, and to assemble 3 different greeting card designs.
This workshop’s card designs include:
- White Intricate Lace Winter Forest Scene with Shimmer Backdrop (5×7)
- 3D Marbled Tree with Embellishments (5×5)
- Trifold Christmas Village with Vinyl Sentiment (3.5×7.5)
For this workshop’s time management, the Cricut card elements will be pre-cut for your personal makes so everyone will have plenty of time to get creative and finish each card design. After the live cutting and teaching demo of each card, you’ll be able to personalise each design through your choice of various coloured papers, embellishments, vinyls, and festive stamps.
How will I be taught?
You’ll be taught in our lovely studio by a friendly and experienced tutor and official local Cricut Ambassador through live demonstration and guidance as you work. There will be visual aids such as a projector and large screen while teaching Design Space basics along with summarised written instructions.
You’ll also be able to ask questions, making sure everything is clear, and that you’re getting the best results you can.
Do I need any previous experience or skills?
All beginners and Cricuteers are welcome! While we will be learning the basics of Cricut cutting machines and working with a variety of papers and cardstocks, all skill sets will find something enjoyable as we make a beautiful trio of festive cards together alongside some crafty chat.
Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?
All project materials, supplies, and usage of tools are included in this workshop. You’re going to love the variety of papers, cardstocks, and embellishments that you’ll have to play with to make your own special cards!
If you have particular stamps, ink pads, and embellishments that you like to use for your cardmarking, you’re welcome to bring your own.
If you are an advanced Cricut user and would like to make your own card designs in Design Space with a helping hand from a Cricut Ambassador, please bring your own Cricut machine and cutting mats with you as well as the free Cricut Design Space app pre-downloaded on your device of choice. Please be mindful of our limited 3 hours’ class time when choosing your designs and that Cricut cutting will need to be done once the teaching demonstrations are over (it can get a bit noisy with all the machines going!).
If you’re new to Cricut crafting and want to follow along on your own mobile or laptop device, please visit this page for instructions on ‘How to Download Cricut Design Space’ (https://help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009428814-Downloading-and-Installing-Design-Space). There will be a couple of machines you can connect to if needed.
If you have low vision, please let Chelsea know ahead of time so she can adjust her projector screens and bring additional craft tool support for you. Creativity is accessible to all!
Should you want your own to use and keep, brand new basic Cricut tools will also be available to purchase on the day.
What will I take home with me?
By the end of our session, you’ll take home 3 finished festive greeting cards with envelopes ready to be sent to your loved ones, and you will have made some new local Cricut-loving friends!
Refreshments
Drinks and biscuits will be available but we recommend that you bring a packed lunch with you.

As a former classroom art teacher and retired wedding photographer originally from the States, Chelsea finds joy in making life more beautiful through her work and teaching others to inspire themselves with their own creative spark. From 2016, she worked with Cricut U.S. as a self-employed freelancer to create online wedding tutorials, represent the wedding niche at media events, and teach at Cricut conferences. Now in the UK, she is an official Cricut UK Ambassador who does in-store demonstrations in Sussex and hosts artful Cricut and craft workshops under her Make with Chelsea brand. When she's away from the craft room, she loves to read romantasy and historical fiction books, travel with her British husband, seek out the best gluten-free food (particularly desserts!), and quietly relax at home with their cats, Pickles Barrington and Juniper McIntyre.
