Christmas Star crochet square with Coastal crochet
Come along and enjoy a great session with crochet designer Eleonora, aka Coastal Crochet. In this session you are going to work on this square which is featuring in an exclusive crochet-along Eleonora has designed for Inside Crochet magazine. Aside from bring a beautiful square that can be used in the whole blanket it has many other applications. It can be used in imaginative ways to create cushion covers, small bags or any square based project.
In making this square you will see how a square is formed around another shape, a star in this case, which will ignite your imagination for many more! Lots of different stitches and techniques are used so it’s brilliant for building on your crochet skills.
What will we cover?
Eleonora will guide you through the stitches and techniques needed to make this star in a square. This could then be incorporated into a blanket, cushion cover or bag.

Do I need any previous experience or skills?
Suitable for those that have completed our beginners’ crochet workshop or similar and are familiar with basic crochet stitches.
Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?
Please bring a selection of DK yarn and a 4mm crochet hook.

Tutor
Eleonora is a passionate crochet designer and blogger. Her Dutch mother crocheted her own wedding dress in 1974 and Eleonora was wrapped in crocheted blankets soon after she was born - it really has always been a part of her life! Eleonora lives with her husband and three children. As a designer she draws a lot of inspiration from the coastline where she lives, and shares this through her blog: www.coastalcrochet.com. Many of Eleonora's designs have been published in magazines including 'Simply Crochet', ‘Inside Crochet’ and 'Crochet Now', and she posts regular updates on her popular Instagram account @coastalcrochet. In her day job she works part time as a nurse and has hosted crochet workshops as part of local NHS wellbeing events.
