What will we cover?

If you’re left uninspired by the choice in the shops, or are put off by the prices, come along to our lampshade making class. You’ll discover how easy it is to make your own drum lampshades in a fabric you love

Lampshades are a fabulous way to inject colour, pattern and texture into a room, and this workshop provides an exciting, cost-saving way to update your home.

In this lampshade making class we’ll make a 30cm diameter shade. If you’d like to make a different sized lampshade, please contact us for the price and fabric requirements.

How will I be taught?

You’ll be taught in our lovely studio by a friendly and experienced tutor, through demonstration and guidance as you work.

You’ll also be able to ask questions, making sure everything is clear and that you’re getting the best results you can.

Do I need any previous experience or skills?

This lampshade making class is suitable for complete beginners. No sewing required!

Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?

Please bring at least 970mm x 255mm of your choice of fabric. It shouldn’t be too thick; lightweight upholstery or dressmaking fabrics work best for wrapping around the frame.

All other materials needed to make a 30cm diameter lampshade are provided.

What will I take home with me?

You’ll take home your finished lampshade, ready to hang from the ceiling or pop on a base.

Drinks and biscuits will be available but we recommend that you bring a packed lunch with you.

During all of our workshops photographs are taken for promotional purposes only. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you would prefer not to be included.
