Elizabeth Hartman Leafy Quilt
Come and spend the day with us improving your skills and working on this wonderful quilt. Elizabeth Hartman is a renowned patchwork designed and this quilt lends itself to a curated range of fabrics or a selection of scraps. I made it for a friend’s birthday and totally fell in love with it!
This project is very fabric friendly and can use a 10″ square pack, sometimes referred to as a layer cake.
Each attendee will get their own printed version of the pattern to take home.
What will we cover?
This is a traditional patchwork project using cutting and machine piecing so we will be concentrating our time on that helping you make the best use of fabric, the perfect size seams and the perfect end result.
How will I be taught?
You will be taught in a light and airy studio by Sarah. Sarah is an experienced patchworker who can bring a wealth of knowledge to your patchwork and can share all of her tips and tricks along the way.
Do I need any previous experience or skills?
Ideally you need to be at least a beginner at patchwork so that you are comfortable cutting. We want to ensure that the time spent in this workshop is working with the techniques.
Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?
Everyone has different tastes so we leave the fabric choice down to you! In the gallery below it will tell you all you need to know about fabric quantities if you are curating a selection or you can work with scraps which can be even more fun.
What will I take home with me?
You will take home a printed copy of the pattern and as many feathers as you have been able to work on during the session.
Refreshments
Drinks and biscuits will be available but we recommend that you bring a packed lunch with you.
