I am very excited that we have the lovely Coastal Crochet, aka Eleonora, coming to teach this crochet workshop at Made and Making. You may have seen one of her many published patterns in Simply Crochet magazine.
In this workshop Eleonora will be teaching the basics of Entrelac crochet which is a technique based on Tunisian crochet. Eleonora will show the various approaches to Entrelac crochet so you will leave the workshop with a greater knowledge and confidence in using this technique. Eleonora will share a pattern exclusively designed for the workshop that can be turned into either a mobile phone pouch or a crochet hook case. The full written pattern with step by step photos will be yours to take away at the end of the workshop.
This workshop is suitable for advanced beginners. You will need a basic understanding of crochet and be able to do the basic stitches. Eleonora will be happy to guide you through new stitches where needed.
What you will need
You will need to bring your own yarns and hooks to the workshop. You can bring a variety of yarns to experiment with different results and sizes if you wish. Any DK weight yarn will be suitable for the workshop and a selection of standard crochet hooks from 4mm to 6mm. If you are choosing to make the crochet hook case then a zip will need to be inserted after the workshop. The zip is not provided as it is best to crochet the case first and then choose the correct zip size to fit your finished piece.
Whilst we continue to live with Covid where at all possible please bring your own sewing machine and sewing kit. Resources are available on-site if necessary. Please view our Covid-19 page for the latest guidance.
Drinks and biscuits will be available but we recommend that you bring a packed lunch with you.
During all of our workshops photographs are taken for promotional purposes only. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you would prefer not to be included.
