Frame purse – On line via Zoom
This is a brilliant , sophisticated beginners project but you do need to be able to confidently use a sewing machine.
This frame purse is a gorgeous purse bag that is perfect for make up because of the way that the top stands open with the use of the internal frame. In fact the sturdy opening makes it perfect for a huge variety of uses and I use mine for all manner of uses including sewing projects and my crochet.
This is a great beginners sewing project as you can build your skills using interfacing and fusible fleece which give structure to the purse and you'll learn how to sew and insert your wire frame too.
We'll supply the technical bits; the interfacing, fusible fleece and frame, you just need to choose fabric for the inside and outside and your zip.
Please note that bookings closed 7 days prior to ensure that we have enough time to post out your supplies. You will be required to cut out your fabrics from instructions ahead of the session.
This is an online class live class on ZOOM that will be recorded so you will be able to rewatch and catch up at a later date should you so wish. The recording will be available within 2 days of the event.
What you will need
The project is best completed in a strong cotton, patchwork weight fabrics are perfect. Inside you have the option of adding one or two pockets. You will need 1 fat quarter for the exterior but 0.5m of fabric for the lining to include the pockets. Alternatively 2 fat quarters and different fabric for the pockets. If you would like jazzy contrasting pockets inside bring along a little selection of fabrics to work from. Matching 16″ closed end zip.
