Get to know fabrics 101

Get to know fabric workshop

We’ve put together a morning of our popular bitesize sessions that we take around the country to the national shows. The sessions are designed to help you skill up and build your knowledge with this first set focusing on the resources that you may be using. By coming and talking through the properties of a number of samples you will walk away with a much greater understanding of how to use them within your projects to get the best results. These are fab sessions for anyone wanting to build their knowledge and by walking away with a set of samples you will have constant reference points for when you are shopping online.

Can you feel a bit lost when you go to buy fabric? Do you know what they all are? Do you know what some of the differences and similarities are? Would you like to make better choices for your dressmaking projects? Do you know what all those names on the back of the pattern packet reference to? Do you find it hard to make good choices buying online?

So many questions!

If you feel you don’t have the right answers this is for you. We will discuss approx 20 different fabrics and you will touch and feel samples that you can take home. Join our one hour ‘skill up’ session and walk away feeling far more confident about your choices and with a lovely sample pack to reference and feel whenever you are in doubt.
