What will we cover?
Building on the success of our Get To Know Fabrics masterclass we are now tackling needles and threads. During this listen and learn session we’ll talk through options in both hand and machine sewing needles and how to make the best thread choices. Having the right tools always makes a difference and choosing the right thread for your stitching really finishes a project off.
This is an online session but we’re putting together a great sample pack for you. You need to be able to see up close just what the threads look and like so there will be some Aurifil threads that you can touch and feel. Plus to see how needles actually differ there will be a selection of Schmetz needles so that you can see and feel exactly what we will be talking through.
How will I be taught?
Our online classes are fun and friendly (you can check our our reviews on Tripadvisor, Google or Facebook) and because we teach lots of face to face classes too we know where you might go wrong before you do.
If you have not attended online classes before rest assured that we have good cameras and lighting making it really easy to see our demonstrations and explanations.
Do I need any previous experience or skills?
Just an interest in the world of needles and threads!
Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?
Just have a pen and paper to hand as there will be a lot of information to digest.
What will I take home with me?
At the end of the session you will feel inspired and informed in the variety of needles and threads, ready to tackle your next sewing project with confidence.
Drinks and biscuits will be available in your own kitchen (hopefully)!
During all of our workshops photographs are taken for promotional purposes only. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you would prefer not to be included.
