Jelly Roll day

sewing with jelly rolls

We love a jelly roll, a versatile roll of approx 42 strips that you can sew and cut and create any number of different patterns from. We love them so much that we’ve decided to open our doors for a special Studio day.  Nothing beats sewing in company and being inspired by seeing others sewing around you.

It’s a Studio Day so there’s no tuition, this is a chance to come and use our space and sew in company with like-minded people. We’ll be sewing alongside you so we will be on hand to offer a little guidance and support should you need it.

How will I be taught?

It’s a Studio Day so there’s no tuition, this is a chance to come and use our space and sew in company with like-minded people. We’ll be sewing alongside you so we will be on hand to offer a little guidance and support should you need it.

Do I need any previous experience or skills?

This is a sew along so there’s no tuition, some experience of sewing & using a machine is needed.

Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?

You will need to bring your jelly roll, a pattern to follow and co-ordinating thread.

A jelly roll can be found at any good patchwork shop or online. Note that a true jelly roll contains 42 strips 2.5″ wide. Be careful when shopping as mini rolls are also available with only approx 20 strips!

What will I take home with me?

Whatever you choose to make with your Jelly Roll, the possibilities are endless!

Refreshments

Drinks and biscuits will be available but we recommend that you bring a packed lunch with you.

Photography

During all of our workshops photographs are taken for promotional purposes only. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you would prefer not to be included.
