Leather bag making day
During the course of this workshop you will make your very own gorgeous leather bag from scratch using a normal domestic sewing machine.

There is a choice of 7 colours of leather;navy blue, brown, black, dark green, heather grey, purple or red leather
There is a choice of 3 colours of hardware; silver, antique brass or gold.
Working with leather is very different to fabric and during this one day workshop you will learn an extensive range of techniques, tips and tricks. As well as learning how to construct a bag with base and zip pocket, skills transferable to fabric, you will spend the day learning all about working with leather. From cutting, bonding stabilisers and stitching leather to using hardware such as rivets and zips. You will also learn how to burnish the raw edge of leather, a lovely finishing technique.
All leather, tools, bag making suppplies and hardware are provided. However to make your bag your own you are required to bring along a piece of fabric for the lining. This should be a medium to light weight fabric would be ideal. You will need half a metre.
