Mid week makes – Festive Special 24

Mid week makes kits

This Autumn we are going all out festive in our Mid Week Makes. If you fancy 5 weeks of crafty fun you are in the right place, Mid week makes is back and this year we are going totally festive! We’ll be delivering 5 exciting surprise makes, that’s full kits delivered straight to your door. Plus you can log on and join us for the live crafting sessions or watch on catch up.

“This was my first time doing anything like this and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
The crafts were so varied and meant you had a taster for each some of which I would like to do more of. I have already booked for the spring makes (my husband has bought it for me for Christmas).”

Mid week makes is our online weekly craft club. We run for an hour a week, online, working on a different crafty project each week. Projects are kept a surprise and a pack of the weekly kits is sent out ahead of the first session. It is imperative therefore that you book before the 30th September  otherwise we can not guarantee your kits will be delivered in time.

The dates for this term are:6th Nov, 13th Nov, 20th Nov, 27th Nov, 11th Dec

Mid week makes is all about spending a little time each week exploring an activity which doesn’t need any assumed level of skill. Simple, entertaining and pleasing projects which will allow you to try your hand at something different. Held online using Zoom you don’t need to venture out. Just grab yourself a cup, or glass, of something and settle down to catch up with like minded folk. (Not available at the right time? Don’t worry you can do it all on ‘catch up’ with videos of the sessions released shortly after).

The classes run for one hour once a week  and we cover simple projects using a variety of skills. To make it easy we supply a kit to go with each week. This will be supplemented by simple things that you will have at home such as scissors, glue, needle, thread etc. The full set of kits are sent out ahead of the first session and if you are buying this as a gift and would like a message/card included just let us know.

Our online classes are fun and friendly (you can check our our reviews on Tripadvisor, Google or Facebook) and because we teach lots of face to face classes too we know where you might go wrong before you do.

Pictures of previous weekly projects are popped below to give you a feel for the types of thing that we undertake.

What people say…

“Thank you for the wonderful experience of mid-week makes. I joined on recommendation of a friend and I’m so glad I did. I love crafts but can never think what to actually make, so this course was perfect for me. It also helped de-stress me from a busy days work.”

“I have loved them. You are a great teacher, very kind, clear and patient and each week I felt like I was spending an hour with friends.”

“Just wanted to say a big thank you for these weekly make sessions. They have been so inspiring and great fun. We are quite a little community now and i look forward to joining in again in September.”

“Thank you so much for the mid week makes sessions. They have brightened my week and lifted my mood every Wednesday during lockdown. I originally intended just to try a couple but ended up joining every week and enjoying every craft, most of which were entirely new to me.”

“I love mid-week makes as it is something creative to look forward to with like-minded people. I find it especially enjoyable during the Winter as i am reluctant to go out after darkness falls and its so cold. I dont look forward to Winter so these sessions have really helped in coping.  I also love the surprise element. Its like Christmas every week.”

“I’m really enjoying the mid week makes again. Doing the class on Zoom is so convenient on these dark evenings. I like trying my hand at different crafts without the trouble and expense of finding materials and equipment which can be hard to find in small quantities. Not knowing what we will be doing each week definitely adds to the fun.”

We love creating communities of like minded people and it is nice to see the same folk each week. For this reason the sessions are being sold on a termly basis. You’ll be signing up for 5 weeks of sessions and your package of 5 kits will arrive in time for your first session. Don’t worry if you can’t make each one live as a recording will be available shortly after the session.

If you have not attended online classes before rest assured that we have good cameras and lighting making it really easy to see our demonstrations.
