Presser foot perfection
Do you ever wonder what all those presser feet do? Have you tried using one and not got the right result? Not sure which presser feet are worth the investment? If you would like to know more about sewing machine presser feet then this workshop is for you.
Our presser foot sewing class is aimed at those who can use a machine and would now like to understand how to get the best from the large variety of presser feet that are available. A wide selection of presser feet are supplied for the duration of the workshop.
What will we cover?
Using the right tools for your sewing project is what makes the difference between a good finish and a fabulous finish. Join us to have all your questions answered and take your sewing machine skills to the next level.
You’ll learn when, why and how to use a variety of presser feet, including:
- button sewing foot
- blind hem foot
- roller hem foot
- overcast foot
- gathering foot
- bias binding foot
- fringing foot
- cording foot
- and beading foot.
You’ll get to try them out on lots of samples and we’ll show you how to select the correct machine settings for each one.
Please note that our feet are standard snap-on presser feet – they may not fit older style or Bernina machines.
How will I be taught?
You’ll be taught in our lovely studio by a friendly and experienced tutor, through demonstration and guidance as you work.
You’ll also be able to ask questions, making sure everything is clear and that you’re getting the best results you can.

Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?
Bring along your own machine (if you have one) and any additional presser feet you have – we can help you understand which are which.
A wide selection of presser feet are supplied for you to explore.
What will I take home with me?
You’ll take home the samples you worked on during the course and a set of detailed instruction sheets that you can refer back to at home.
Drinks and biscuits will be available but we recommend that you bring a packed lunch with you.
