What will we cover?

This is a fab make covering a variety of useful bag and pouch making skills including the use of interfacing, inserting zips and overall construction techniques including dealing with bulk.

How will I be taught?

You will be taught in our light and airy studio by an experienced tutor.

Do I need any previous experience or skills?

We just recommend that you are confident with your machine and bring along your accessories and user manual.

Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?

We can’t wait to see your exciting fabric choices!

You need to bring….

Exterior Fabric 1 fat quarter (18″ x 22″)

Lining Fabric 1/2 yard x full width (If you wish to use a variety of fabrics inside you will need 4 pieces 8 3/4″ x 9 3/4″ plus additional for the side panels)

Pocket lining 1/3 yard x full width (This will be cut into 6 pieces 4″ x 9 3/4″)

Binding 1 fat quarter (18″ x 22″)

The exterior fabric could be quilted using wadding or fusible fleece. If you wish to do this please complete before the session. It can be nice to add a bit of bulkBatting or fusible fleece if quilting the outside piece.

If you do not quilt the exterior then you may wish to use some interfacing to add a bit of stability.  You will need 1m.

18″ zipper

3 x 9″ zipper

What will I take home with me?

You will take home a fabulous organiser and a copy of the Sew Together Bag™ pattern by Sew Demented so you can make more.

Drinks and biscuits will be available but we recommend that you bring a packed lunch with you.

During all of our workshops photographs are taken for promotional purposes only. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you would prefer not to be included.
