Stitch Club

stitch club stitching workshop

A relaxed monthly needlepoint session for beginners to advanced level.

These sessions allow you to bring along your own needlepoint project, and Julie, our tutor, will be on hand to provide any guidance that you may be after. You are welcome to bring any type of needlepoint, cross stitch, tapestry or embroidery. Whatever your style, contemporary or traditional, she can help you get started, give you tips and pointers and encourage you when you’ve lost your mojo. Relax with like minded folk and enjoy a gentle start to the week.

Our stitch club is a monthly chance to improve your skills, have your errors diagnosed and relax all at the same time.

Julie Clapp

There has been no stopping Julie since she was taught the art of knitting by her grandmother at the age of four. With such a variety of wools and knitting needles available today, she enjoys making her projects more interesting, and firmly believes that once the basics have been mastered anything is possible: twists and cables, different coloured wools to make patterns, or just playing with textures. Based in Sussex, Julie's work has been sold in London as well as at local fairs and independent retailers. She has also exhibited at the South of England show - a knitted cauliflower cushion no less! Julie's calm and patient manner make her an excellent tutor.
