Winter foliage floral collage
Join local textile collage artist Bianca Williams for a one day workshop exploring mixed media techniques to produce a stunning abstract botanical artwork. Spend a relaxed few hours exploring colour, texture and layering through playful paper collage. Using a beautiful selection of coloured and hand-printed papers, you’ll create your own unique artwork inspired by pattern, nature and intuitive making. No experience needed – just a love of creativity and colour.
What will we cover?
In this workshop you will:
Explore colour combinations and composition,
Experiment with texture and layered paper techniques
Learn simple collage methods
Create some textured coloured papers to work with.
Create one or more finished paper artworks
Gain confidence in intuitive creative play
How will I be taught?
In our light and airy studio by our experienced tutor. This is a relaxed and creative session, there will be plenty of time to play and experiment with the materials and there is no such thing as a silly question!
Do I need any previous experience or skills?
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those that have tried collage before.

What will I take home with me?
You will produce a least one finished artwork ready for you to frame and hang at home.

Tutor
Bianca Williams is a collage artist and award-winning textile designer based in Brighton & Hove. She founded Bianca Williams Design after losing her corporate textile design role during the pandemic, seeking a creative outlet that could work around raising a young family. Bianca’s work combines traditional and contemporary techniques. She creates her own richly coloured and textured papers using printing and painting methods, which she then carefully cuts and layers to form vibrant botanical collages. These original artworks are later developed using modern digital technology to create her distinctive range of cheerful, colourful printed patterns. Inspired by nature, flowers, and the joy of colour, Bianca applies her floral designs to a range of thoughtfully made products including homeware, tableware, and small gift items.
