Crowning glory quilt pattern (PDF)

Our Crowning glory quilt pattern a beginner friendly quilt pattern which is also stash friendly.

The crown block itself is made up of the background colour and the crown. Each block uses just under one fat quarter for the background colour so you can mix and match as you like. Made as either full or half blocks you’ll master half square triangles (HST’s) and half rectangle triangles (HRT’s).

The block lends itself to personalisation with plenty of space on each crown for additional embroidered detail. The block also works well for party table decoration with individual blocks sized to make perfect placemats or join several together and create a table runner too.

Use fat quarters (FQTR) or yardage for a coordinated look but it lends itself perfect to some stash busting too with each block a different fabric.

  • Finished size approx 65″ x 80″ or smaller size approx 50″ x 65″
  • Stash Friendly! Use fat quarters or your scrap stash for an eclectic mix or use yardage for a more coordinated feel..
  • Beginner level

Fabric requirements

For the 4 colour version as shown large size; 1.5m or red & white, 3m blue and 2m gold

(Note 1 FQTR makes approx 4 crowns sections and 1 FQTR is enough for the background colour for one block)
