As demonstrated on Sewing Street.
This is a fantastic fun project!
The stack and whack technique creates a fascinating and individual quilt top with a selection of easy to assemble kaleidoscope blocks.
You will need;
Fabric Main:
For the hexagons: Piece 1 – this will be the length of 6 repeats of your fabric. (As you will be cutting 6” triangles the minimum repeat of your fabric should be 6″).
For the border: Piece 2 – 75cm
Fabric Background: 1m
You will also need fabric for the back of your quilt, binding and wadding. 40cm should be sufficient for the binding.
The approx. finished size is 55” x 50”.
See Sarah demonstrating this pattern on Sewing Street in the video below (skip to 1 hour 7 minutes).
